Selected work

A banking platform, a music app, a digital lexicon and a house league, all built in 2026.

ChaseGuard

A banking platform our team built during a 10-week JPMorgan Chase programme at Bournemouth University.

Accounts, transfers and deposits sit behind JWT auth with role claims, so customers, tellers and compliance officers each see only what they should. Transactions are screened for fraud in real time, and every sensitive action lands in an audit log.

Context

Stack
Django REST Framework, React, PostgreSQL, Celery, Redis, Docker

Openfy

A free, open-source desktop app for streaming music, with no ads, no account and no tracking.

Search reaches millions of tracks through Piped and InnerTube, failing over automatically if one goes down. Lyrics sync in real time and translate live, while your library, playlists and listening stats stay in a local SQLite database. Smart playlists, imports from Spotify, YouTube Music and Anghami, ten visualiser modes and Discord Rich Presence are all built in.

Desktop app, open source (MIT)
Stack

GALex Digital

A searchable digital companion to volumes 1 and 2 of A Greek and Arabic Lexicon (Brill, 2020 and 2021), built for classicists.

Search in Arabic, Greek or transliteration, and every entry shows its evidence: the Greek passage, its Arabic rendering and the precise source. It holds 942 entries under 272 roots plus a glossary of 4,736 lemmata. You can browse by root or by ancient author, or open any lemma as a relation graph like the one shown.

Human-centred AI is how I work: start with the people and what they need, then choose the technology.

You can see it in the work. GALex Digital gives classicists one search across the first two volumes of a Greek and Arabic lexicon. Openfy streams music with no ads, no account and no tracking. Purbeck World Cup Hub turned one student house into a prediction league.

Earlier in 2026 I spent 10 weeks on a JPMorgan Chase programme run with Bournemouth University, where our team built ChaseGuard with Django, React and PostgreSQL. On my own projects I work mostly in JavaScript and Python, with React and Electron on the client and Express and SQLite behind them.
